Laundry Day

LIVE LAUGH LOVE LAUNDRY

RESTORING DIGNITY THROUGHCLEAN CLOTHES AND CARINGHEARTS

The story of Live Laugh Love Laundry began with a simple act of compassion. Two friends walked the streets of Redding, ministering to unhoused neighbors after days of rain. When they asked, “How can we help you today?” the answer was humble but powerful: “All of our stuff is wet — if we could do our laundry, it would really help.”

That one conversation became the spark for what is now a monthly event where anyone in need is welcome. Over time, countless stories have reminded us why this work matters — like the man who said, “If I had clean clothes, I think people would treat me like a human being,” or the young local who shared, “Laundry Day is the only place where people know my name.”

This is why we do what we do — because dignity, belonging, and human connection start with something as simple as clean clothes and a caring smile.
